Hey,

Lovely post M! Yep a difficult area to straggle. Oooo. Yep you see? Lots of glorious imperfection abounds with me! Anyway it's a difficult area to tackle and define in advance of doing it I guess you're saying. We learn as we go.

Think I remember reading somewere about not needing to be transparent on your blog or in your biz about everything. Sharing what's relevant and helpful for your clients. So I def agree that being imperfect, flesh and blood, helps us all to practise self acceptance and compassion and trust that we can get great stuff done - even if we are less than perfect. That gives me hope anyway. Being around people who are too shiny and new make me uncomfortable and concerned that I need to keep up a huge front. So thx for this post!

And I've just started writing and with no clear intention as yet - so lots of mess and showing who I really am. And I have lots of concern people are going to get caught in a dynamic of trying to look after me since im sharing so much that is personl about me! I'm put really clear boundaries around my comment bit though to help. All very work in progress. As it should be! But still. Baby steps'll get us figuring this thing out.

Excellent! This is the really hard part about being human with other humans. I really did listen to all the things I've taught my children. "Listen carefully before you speak." "Hear the person--not the viewpoint." "Sit on your 'anger bone' and let your heart speak first." and of course the old fav, "Before you accuse--look to yourself, your motives and your thinking."
I really did listen--I really do believe those things. And then I am confronted with some atrocity, some global smack against humanity, some "STUPID" act of ignorance or pettiness, and BANG--I've moved right through all my checks.
My only answer is to remember that being sorry for pain caused also works inward. Just saying sorry never does.
